Resilience: Learn about the Endangered Species Act
  In 1973, Congress passed the Endangered Species Act to help protect plants and animals from becoming extinct. According to the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Act is meant to protect endangered and threatened species, while also conserving the ecosystems they live in. The goal of the Endangered Species Act is to develop recovery plans for species so they will be restored to health and no longer need protection.
