Collect Data: |
Through the following observations,
you will replicate the research methods that you read about
in Dr.
Jane’s scrapbook. These activities can be used for
any group of animals where you can observe both individual behaviors
and interactions. Examples of animal observation groups are
geese, squirrels, pigeons, crows, herds of deer, or dogs in
a park. |
|
Observation 1: (30 minutes) |

- Make general observations on all categories of behaviors
observed. Write these observations down on regular lined

- Make sure that one person is focusing on a particular
individual and the other person is looking at the group
as a whole.
|
. |
Observation 2: (30 minutes) |
|
- Focus on the behavior topic you selected. Use the data
sheet to record your observations.
- Make sure that one person is focusing on a particular
individual and the other person is looking at the group
as a whole.
