Nani, one of the chimpanzees from the Chimpanzee
Guardian Program
There are many young chimpanzees in Africa whose mothers and fathers have been
killed by poachers. These young orphans need someone to care for them, so Dr.
Jane has placed many of them in sanctuaries to live together in a natural environment
with experienced caregivers. However, caring for chimpanzees is very expensive,
and sanctuaries often have trouble raising the money they need. If you and your
group want to help provide food, enrichment, and medical care to a chimpanzee,
you can adopt a chimpanzee. You can read more about the Chimpanzee
Guardian Program and the individual chimpanzees who need your help.
