Welcom Letter From Dr. Jane Goodall

Dear Students,

A few years ago, I wrote a book called Reason For Hope. While many scientists despair when they look into the future, in my book I expressed my optimism. Many people ask me about the source of my positive thoughts.

This online course explores the source of my optimism. As part of this program, you will see the 12 lessons I have learned in life that have helped sustain me in my 40 years of studying chimpanzees and of sharing my hope for our world.

As you hear my story, watch carefully to see if you have learned the same lessons in your life. The course activities are designed to give you an opportunity to further experience these lessons in order to help you make a positive difference in the world.

With love,
