Jane’s first secretarial job was in the office of the Oxford University Registrar. Jane was allowed to bring her hamster, Hamlette, to work and that added amusement to a monotonous job. Later, she found a new job in a documentary film studio. She was hired to select music for the films. She also learned cutting and editing.
